Today is World Read-Aloud Day!
The idea of World Read Aloud Day came from a child who wanted to celebrate reading! Over the past 15 years World Read Aloud Day has evolved into a global movement, bringing together millions of readers, writers, and listeners from around the world to honor the joy and power of reading aloud. This movement will continue expanding the definition and scope of global literacy.
Here are some interesting facts about literacy:
-Reading aloud improves communication.
-Reading aloud at home and at school is one of the best ways to help children develop literacy skills.
-Listening to books read aloud lengthens your attention span.
-Listening to books develops better listening habits.
-Reading aloud builds empathy and understanding.
-Reading aloud creates a connection between people.
On Monday Mrs Ski's 5th-grade classroom was transformed into a bustling pizzeria, thanks to the generous donation from Papa Vito's! 🎉 Our students dove into real-world math problems, mastering the art of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions, all while having a blast!
They embraced the pizzeria spirit by dressing the part in aprons, chef hats, and vibrant red and green outfits. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and lots of cheesy fun! 🍕👩🍳🧑🍳

January Board Brief from Dr. Castelli
In addition to the 101st Day of School for our smaller Cougars, yesterday was "Dress Like a Teacher" day for the rest of the students. We had an extra Mrs. Berry and another Nurse Megan, along with a few extra Mr. Mueth's. Kids delivered kind notes to their favorite teachers throughout the day! All of the staff decided to dress alike today as well!

Today Pre K and Kindergarten celebrated the 101st day of school with a 101 Dalmatians theme! The "puppies" had a great day today!
Yesterday our Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st Graders celebrated the 100th Day of School.
A fun day was had by everyone! We showed off 100 special things, did 100 exercises and so much more!
